PRIVACY & YOUR DATA

Your records. Your workstation.

This policy explains how SKUmbrella LLC handles information through the SKUmbrella application, optional connected email and this website.

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Package records

SKUmbrella stores package details, recipient contact information, signatures, photos and activity history on the customer’s workstation. Android Companion stores pending work on the handheld and transfers it to the paired workstation. The core workflow does not require a SKUmbrella-hosted cloud database. The organization operating the station controls its records, retention, exports, backups and access permissions.

When you connect Google email

Connecting email is optional. You sign in on Google’s own page and choose whether to authorize SKUmbrella. SKUmbrella requests your account email address to identify the sending account, and permission to send email on your behalf for the package notifications and test messages you enable.

SKUmbrella does not request permission to read your Gmail inbox, list existing messages, delete messages or access Google contacts. It does not collect your Google password.

When a notification is sent, its recipient address, subject and message content are transmitted from the workstation to Google and delivered to the intended recipient. Depending on the notification template, the message may contain a recipient name, tracking number, pickup location or package status. Google processes the message under its own terms and privacy policy. Your organization should approve which information may be sent by email.

Connection storage and removal

The connected account address and authorization tokens are stored locally using Windows-protected secret storage so the station can continue sending without repeated sign-in. They are not sent to the SKUmbrella marketing website. Choose Disconnect in Settings → Email to remove the saved connection from that workstation. You can also revoke SKUmbrella’s access in your Google Account connections.

Disconnecting does not delete package records, audit history, backups or messages already sent. Your organization manages those records and recovery copies; Google manages retention within its services. Copies of locally protected connection data may remain in backups controlled by your organization.

Use and sharing of Google user data

Google user data is used only to identify the account and provide the email features you authorize. SKUmbrella does not sell this data, use it for advertising or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence models. The connected-email feature sends messages directly through the selected provider; it does not route mailbox access through a SKUmbrella server.

SKUmbrella’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Website visits and support

Our hosting and network providers process technical request information needed to serve and protect this website, such as IP addresses, browser information and request logs. If you contact SKUmbrella, we receive the contact details and information you choose to send and use them to respond, provide support and manage the business relationship. Please do not send passwords, authorization tokens or unnecessary package records.
